Scientists say exposure to microplastics is unavoidable. It’s already known that people can breathe in the particles, however they were found in human blood for the first time in March. These findings show that microplastics can travel throughout the body, potentially damaging our cells and organs. The study has been accepted for publication in the journal Science of the Total Environment.

Scientists have connected the bacteria associated with metabolism to mental or physical energy. However, the ones related to inflammation were linked to mental or physical fatigue.
