Here’s more evidence that you can’t get rid of that face mask even if you feel fine. A study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention finds that nearly 60 percent of all cases of Covid-19 are spread by people who have no symptoms. The study in the journal JAMA Network Open estimates that 35 percent of new cases are spread by people before they show symptoms… and 24 percent are spread by people who never have any symptoms at all. The findings may become more important with the arrival of a new variant of the coronavirus that’s even more contagious.
Children under age two may suffer effects from antibiotics later in childhood. A study in the journal Mayo Clinic Proceedings shows that just one dose of antibiotics before a child’s second birthday increases the risk of a variety of conditions later on, including asthma, food allergies, Celiac Disease, ADHD and obesity. Girls were more at risk with only one or two prescriptions… While both girls and boys were at increased risk with three or four prescriptions.
And finally… kids under age two may love candy and cake… but new U.S. government Dietary Guidelines say they shouldn’t get any. The first government guidelines for infants and toddlers recommend only breast milk until age six months… and no added sugar at all until age two.
