Published: July 9, 2025 by RHJ Producer

Inflammation in the Female Reproductive Tract May Be an Overlooked Cause of Infertility

Embryos are especially vulnerable to environmental stressors like inflammation. New research in the journal Science Advances has found a correlation between low levels of progesterone and increased inflammation. These findings could pave the way for new treatments targeting inflammation-related fertility issues. (University of Missouri)

Ever Wish You Could See the World a Little Differently?

A new app may help by subtly shaping your personality. New research in Nature Scientific Reports explores how users can enhance their natural curiosity to boost daily motivation. The app prompts small but intentional changes in routine—like listening to a new podcast or trying a different recipe. Researchers say fostering curiosity is key, as it’s directly linked to positive life outcomes. (UC Santa Barbara)

Not All Mindfulness Is Created Equal

While mindfulness can ease anxiety, new research shows that different techniques work better for different symptoms. A wandering mind may need a different approach than someone with a racing heart or sweaty palms. The research is published in the journal Neuroscience and Biobehavioral Reviews. (Washington University St. Louis)

Fathers Interact Differently With Sons and Daughters

A study published in Behavioral Neuroscience shows that men with daughters are more attentive to their children’s emotions. They also sing more often and use emotional language. Fathers of sons, by contrast, tend to use achievement-oriented words like “best,” “win,” and “super.” Researchers say this insight highlights how parents subconsciously interact with their kids. (Emory University)
