RSV is a common virus that infects almost all children by age two. It can affect a person’s nose, throat, lungs, and respiratory tract and is the leading cause of infant hospitalization. Though cases declined during the peak of the pandemic, social distancing also reduced children’s exposure to common germs, according to doctors from the University Of Chicago Medicine. Now that society has opened up again, kids born during the pandemic don’t have as much immunity built up, leaving them more vulnerable to infection.

However, the liver toxicity does not occur when drinking green tea or taking low doses of the extract.
