Former Host of Radio Health Journal

Nancy was one of the founding hosts of Radio Health Journal when the program debuted in 1992 and retired in 2023. A former news reporter/anchor for WMAQ radio in Chicago, she has won numerous awards for reporting.

Since joining the faculty of the University of Illinois as a Professor of Journalism, Benson has become heavily involved in training journalists internationally. Previously, she has worked in Rome as a public affairs consultant with the United Nations World Food Program.
