However, researchers say letting the fever run its course is actually more beneficial in older children because it helps kill the virus or bacteria that’s causing the sickness. Giving your child medication for low-grade fevers can mask the symptoms of an illness and delay a diagnosis.

Cannabidial, or CBD, is a non-psychoactive compound of cannabis. Many people use it for joint pain or anxiety, but a new study has tested its effectiveness in helping cigarette smokers quit. While more research is needed, the paper shows that CBD may slow down nicotine metabolism, which helps curb the need for another cigarette.
